Als Cloud Security Engineer liegt es in deiner Verantwortung, die Sicherheit und Zuverlässigkeit unserer OpenStack- und Kubernetes-basierten Kundenlösungen zu gewährleisten. Du arbeitest eng mit unseren Kunden und internen Teams zusammen, um ihre Anforderungen zu erfüllen und gleichzeitig die Integrität unserer Plattform sicherzustellen. Dein Hauptziel ist es, unsere Kunden bei der Einführung, Implementierung und Optimierung ihrer Cloud-Infrastrukturen zu unterstützen und dabei stets auf die Einhaltung von Sicherheitsbestimmungen und -standards zu achten.

Aufgaben

Architektur von hochverfügbaren Applikationen auf OpenStack + Kubernetes und Netzabsicherung durch unseren gehärteten SINA VPN Perimeter
Erklärung von komplexen Sicherheitskonzepten und -lösungen an technische sowie nicht-technischen Stakeholder und Unterstützung bei deren Umsetzung
Planung und Umsetzung der Kundenprojekte vor Ort sowie Troubleshooting, Bugfixing, Patchen und Netzwerkarbeiten auf verteilten Systemen
Durchführung von Wissenstransfer in Richtung Kunde und zu unserem Mutterunternehmen secunet

Anforderungen

Abschluss in Informatik oder einem verwandtem Bereich, ggf. Mitarbeit in Open-Source-Projekte - Zertifizierungen (CNCF o.Ä.) und Berufserfahrung sind von Vorteil
Du hast fundierte Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen in den Bereichen OpenStack, Kubernetes, CI/CD nach GitOps-Prinzipien
Hilfreich ist praktische Erfahrung in der Systemadministration, Netzwerktechnik (insb. VPNs), Containerisierung, VMs sowie Cloud-Technologien allgemein (OpenStack)
Du bist ein Teamplayer und offen dafür, ständig neue Technologien und Methoden zu erkunden, die die Cloud-Sicherheit unserer Kunden verbessern können
Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse und gute Englischkenntnisse sowie eine hohe Reisebereitschaft (40%)

Your mission

As a Cloud Security Engineer, it is your responsibility to ensure the security and reliability of our OpenStack and Kubernetes-based customer solutions. You will work closely with our customers and internal teams to meet their requirements while ensuring the integrity of our platform. Your main goal is to help our customers adopt, implement, and optimize their cloud infrastructures while always ensuring compliance with security regulations and standards.

Your tasks

Architecture of highly available applications on OpenStack + Kubernetes and network security using VPNs with own PKI and external hardware tokens
Explaining complex security concepts and solutions to technical as well as non-technical stakeholders and providing implementation support to ensure successful implementation
Planning and implementation of customer projects on site as well as troubleshooting, bug fixing, patching and network work on distributed systems
Conception and implementation of knowledge transfer towards the customer and to our parent company secunet

Requirements

Degree in computer science or related field, open source projects, certifications (CNCF or similar) and work experience are an advantage
You have sound knowledge and experience in the areas of OpenStack, Kubernetes, CI/CD according to GitOps principles.
Practical experience in system administration, network technology (esp. VPNs), containerization, VMs as well as cloud technologies in general (OpenStack) is helpful
You are a team player and open to constantly exploring new technologies and methods that can improve our customers' cloud security
Very good knowledge of German and good English skills as well as a high willingness to travel (40%)
