Deine Mission

Als DevOps Engineer bei SysEleven bist du verantwortlich für die reibungslose Operation und Automatisierung unserer as-a-Service Produkte, wie z. B. Database as a Service. Du implementierst Infrastructure as Code und optimierst CI/CD-Pipelines, um skalierbare und sichere Infrastrukturen zu gewährleisten. Deine Arbeit fördert die Innovationsfähigkeit unserer Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-Angebote und die Zusammenarbeit im Team. Durch Automation und Kubernetes-Orchestrierung reduzierst du den Betriebsaufwand und lieferst zuverlässige Dienste, die den Erfolg unserer Kunden unterstützen. Du trägst zu einer Kultur des kontinuierlichen Lernens und Problemlösens bei, um komplexe Herausforderungen zu meistern und die Zukunft unserer Dienste zu gestalten.

Aufgaben

Design und Wartung skalierbarer Infrastrukturen mit IaC-Tools (Terraform) in Cloud-Umgebungen oder On-Premise
Erstellung und Pflege von CI/CD-Pipelines zur Automatisierung von Tests und Bereitstellungsstrategien (z.B. Blue-Green, Canary)
Entwicklung von Automatisierungsskripten und internen Tools in Go, Python oder Bash zur Optimierung der DevOps-Prozesse
Management containerbasierter Anwendungen mit Docker und Kubernetes, einschließlich Helm Charts und Netzwerkkonfigurationen
Implementierung von Observability und Automatisierung von Sicherheitsvulnerabilitätsscans
Erstellung und Pflege von technischen Dokumentationen sowie Definition und Implementierung von Best Practices für DevOps-Prozesse

Anforderungen

Erfahrung mit Linux-Betriebssystemen und Kubernetes sowie Arbeit mit GitOps-Tools
Gute Kenntnisse in Go / Golang (Kenntnisse in weiteren Programmiersprachen wie Python oder Rust sind von Vorteil)
Erfahrung mit Infrastructure-as-Code-Tools wie Terraform oder OpenTofu
Vertrautheit mit CI-Systemen, insbesondere GitLab CI
Gute Problemlösungs- und Troubleshootingfähigkeiten sowie Sprachkenntnisse in Deutsch und/oder Englisch auf B2-Niveau
Erfahrung im Umgang mit Monitoring-Tools wie Prometheus und Grafana Stack sowie OS-Image-Building (z. B. VMs, Bare Metal oder Container-Images)

Deine Aufgaben umfassen den täglichen Betrieb und die Wartung dieser Dienste sowie weitere Entwicklungs- und Wartungsarbeiten. Du hast die Möglichkeit, eigene Ideen für neue SaaS-Produkte einzubringen, da wir unser Portfolio weiter ausbauen. Als Teammitglied arbeitest du täglich mit Kubernetes und triffst aktiv Beiträge zum Erfolg unserer Kunden. Wir pflegen einen lebhaften Austausch innerhalb und zwischen Teams, helfen einander und teilen Ideen – sei es im täglichen Geschäft, bei unseren internen "Show & Tell"-Veranstaltungen oder externen Konferenzen.

Your mission

As a DevOps Engineer at SysEleven, you are responsible for the smooth operation and automation of our as-a-Service products, such as Database as a Service. You implement Infrastructure as Code and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalable and secure infrastructures. Your work drives innovation in our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings and enhances team collaboration. Through automation and Kubernetes orchestration, you reduce operational effort and deliver reliable services that support our customers' success. You contribute to a culture of continuous learning and problem-solving to tackle complex challenges and shape the future of our services.

Your tasks

Design and maintenance of scalable infrastructures using IaC tools (Terraform) in cloud or on-premise environments
Creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment strategies (e.g., Blue-Green, Canary)
Development of automation scripts and internal tools in Go, Python, or Bash to optimize DevOps processes
Management of container-based applications with Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm charts and network configurations
Implementation of observability and automation of security vulnerability scans
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, as well as defining and implementing best practices for DevOps processes

Requirements

Experience with Linux operating systems and Kubernetes, as well as working with GitOps tools
Good knowledge of Go / Golang (experience in other programming languages like Python or Rust is a plus)
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu
Familiarity with CI systems, especially GitLab CI
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, as well as proficiency in German and/or English at a B2 level
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana stack, as well as OS image building (e.g., VMs, bare metal, or container images)

Contact

Our team is responsible for customer-facing services such as Database as a Service and Observability as a Service. These are closely integrated into our cloud and Kubernetes products. Your tasks include the daily operation and maintenance of these services, as well as further development and maintenance work. You will have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas for new SaaS products as we continue to expand our portfolio. As a team member, you will work with Kubernetes daily and actively contribute to the success of our customers. We maintain a lively exchange within and between teams, helping each other and sharing ideas—whether in our daily operations, at our internal "Show & Tell" events, or at external conferences.
