System Engineer (m/w/d) - Internal IT

Deine Mission

Als System Engineer bist Du Teil unseres internen IT-Teams und verantwortest gemeinsam mit Deinen Kolleg:innen den Betrieb, die Weiterentwicklung und das Design unserer internen Systeme und Services. Dabei arbeitest Du eng mit anderen technischen Teams, wie Plattform, Security oder Incident Management zusammen und unterstützt unsere Mitarbeitenden bei der täglichen Nutzung sowie im Rahmen von Onboardings.

Aufgaben

Planung, Aufbau und Umsetzung technischer Setups sowie Koordination mit internen Stakeholdern
Bearbeitung von Change Requests und Umsetzung von Feature Requests
Verantwortung für das Incident Management während der Office-Zeiten sowie Dokumentation und Aufbereitung für den Off-Hours-Betrieb
Betreuung von internen IT-Anfragen und Unterstützung beim Onboarding neuer Kolleg:innen
Administration, Konfiguration und Fehleranalyse für Dienste wie Nginx, MySQL, PostgreSQL sowie Betreuung virtualisierter und Cloud-basierter Umgebungen (z. B. OpenStack, Kubernetes)
Integration, Überwachung und Optimierung von Systemen inkl. Performance-Tuning, Kapazitätsplanung und Sicherheitsanforderungen

Anforderungen

Fundierte Linux-Kenntnisse, bevorzugt auf Basis von Debian, sowie Erfahrung mit Virtualisierung und Cloud-Technologien
Kenntnisse in Automatisierung (Bash, Python) und Konfigurationsmanagement (z. B. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
Vertrautheit mit Systemen wie GitLab, Docker, Endpoint-Verwaltung, IAM, IDP und Mailservices
Verständnis für Sicherheits- und Compliance-Anforderungen (z. B. ISO 27001, GDPR)
Analytisches Denkvermögen und Fähigkeit, komplexe technische Probleme strukturiert zu lösen
Teamfähigkeit, klare Kommunikation mit Stakeholdern sowie selbstständige Priorisierung und Organisation
Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse und gute Kenntnisse in Englisch

Your mission

As a Senior System Engineer, you’ll be part of our internal IT team, sharing responsibility with your colleagues for operating, improving, and designing our internal systems and services. You’ll work closely with other technical teams, such as Platform, Security, or Incident Management, and support our employees with their daily use as well as during onboarding.

Your tasks

Planning, building, and implementing technical setups while coordinating with internal stakeholders
Handling change requests and implementing feature requests
Taking responsibility for incident management during office hours, including documentation and preparation for off-hours operations
Supporting internal IT requests and assisting with onboarding new colleagues
Administering, configuring, and troubleshooting services such as Nginx, MySQL, PostgreSQL, as well as managing virtualized and cloud-based environments (e.g., OpenStack, Kubernetes)
Integrating, monitoring, and optimizing systems, including performance tuning, capacity planning, and meeting security requirements

Requirements

Strong Linux skills, preferably with a Debian background, along with experience in virtualization and cloud technologies
Knowledge of automation (Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
Familiarity with systems like GitLab, Docker, endpoint management, IAM, IDP, and mail services
Understanding of security and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR)
Analytical mindset and the ability to solve complex technical problems in a structured way
you are a Team player with clear communication skills toward stakeholders, as well as the ability to prioritize and organize independently
Excellent German skills and good command of English
