Your mission

As a Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/x) at SysEleven, you build and deliver APIs for the operation and automation of our as-a-Service products, such as Database as a Service. You automate processes using Infrastructure as Code and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalable, secure infrastructures. With GitOps and Kubernetes orchestration, you minimize operational effort and enable reliable deployments that drive our customers’ success. You foster a culture of continuous learning and problem-solving to tackle complex challenges and shape the future of our services.

Your tasks

Develop and maintain our Database and Observability as a Service products
Manage container-based applications within Kubernetes with a strong focus on security
Apply GitOps principles using Helm and Argo CD
Develop API services and tooling in Go to provide Software as a Service
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment workflows
Design and maintain scalable infrastructures using IaC tools (Terraform) in cloud environments

Requirements

Experience with Linux and Kubernetes in production environments, as well as with GitOps tools
Hands-on experience developing in Go (experience with Python or Rust is a plus)
Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu
Familiarity with CI systems, especially GitLab CI
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and the Grafana stack, as well as with OS image building (VMs, bare metal, or containers)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, plus proficiency in German and/or English at a B2 level

You’ll work hands-on with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools, directly impacting our customers' success. Deine Mission

Als Senior DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) bei SysEleven entwickelst und betreibst du APIs für den Betrieb und die Automatisierung unserer as-a-Service-Produkte, zum Beispiel Database as a Service. Mit Infrastructure as Code automatisierst du Prozesse und optimierst unsere CI/CD-Pipelines, um skalierbare und sichere Infrastrukturen zu gewährleisten. Durch GitOps und Kubernetes-Orchestrierung reduzierst du den Betriebsaufwand und ermöglichst zuverlässige Deployments, die den Erfolg unserer Kund*innen unterstützen. Du förderst eine Kultur des Lernens und der Lösungsorientierung, um komplexe Herausforderungen zu meistern und die Zukunft unserer Services aktiv mitzugestalten.

Deine Aufgaben

Entwicklung und Pflege unserer Database- und Observability-as-a-Service-Produkte
Betrieb containerbasierter Anwendungen in Kubernetes mit Fokus auf Sicherheit
Anwendung von GitOps-Prinzipien mit Helm und Argo CD
Entwicklung von API-Services und Tools in Go zur Bereitstellung von Software-as-a-Service-Produkten
Aufbau und Pflege von CI/CD-Pipelines zur Automatisierung von Tests und Deployment-Workflows
Design und Verwaltung skalierbarer Infrastrukturen mit IaC-Tools (z. B. Terraform) in Cloud-Umgebungen

Das bringst Du mit

Erfahrung mit Linux und Kubernetes in produktiven Umgebungen sowie im Umgang mit GitOps-Tools
Praktische Erfahrung in der Entwicklung mit Go (Kenntnisse in Python oder Rust sind ein Plus)
Erfahrung mit Infrastructure-as-Code-Tools wie Terraform oder OpenTofu
Vertrautheit mit CI-Systemen, insbesondere GitLab CI
Erfahrung mit Monitoring-Tools wie Prometheus und dem Grafana-Stack sowie mit dem Erstellen von Betriebssystem-Images (VMs, Bare Metal oder Container)
Ausgeprägte Problemlösungsfähigkeiten und gute Kommunikationsfähigkeit in Deutsch und/oder Englisch (mindestens B2-Niveau)
