Deine Mission

Als (Senior) DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) bei SysEleven sorgst du dafür, dass unsere as-a-Service Produkte – wie zum Beispiel Database as a Service – zuverlässig laufen und automatisiert betrieben werden. Du implementierst Infrastructure as Code und optimierst CI/CD-Pipelines, um skalierbare und sichere Infrastrukturen zu gewährleisten. Deine Arbeit fördert die Innovationsfähigkeit unserer Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-Angebote und die Zusammenarbeit im Team. Durch Automation und Kubernetes-Orchestrierung reduzierst du den Betriebsaufwand und lieferst zuverlässige Dienste, die den Erfolg unserer Kunden unterstützen. Du trägst zu einer Kultur des kontinuierlichen Lernens und Problemlösens bei, um komplexe Herausforderungen zu meistern und die Zukunft unserer Dienste zu gestalten.

Deine Aufgaben

Design und Wartung skalierbarer Infrastrukturen mit IaC-Tools (Terraform) in Cloud-Umgebungen oder On-Premise
Erstellung und Pflege von CI/CD-Pipelines zur Automatisierung von Tests und Bereitstellungsstrategien (z.B. Blue-Green, Canary)
Entwicklung von Automatisierungsskripten und internen Tools in Go, Python oder Bash zur Optimierung der DevOps-Prozesse
Management containerbasierter Anwendungen mit Docker und Kubernetes, einschließlich Helm Charts und Netzwerkkonfigurationen
Implementierung von Observability und Automatisierung von Sicherheitsvulnerabilitätsscans
Erstellung und Pflege von technischen Dokumentationen sowie Definition und Implementierung von Best Practices für DevOps-Prozesse

Das bringst Du mit

Erfahrung mit Linux-Betriebssystemen und Kubernetes sowie Arbeit mit GitOps-Tools
Gute Kenntnisse in Go / Golang (Kenntnisse in weiteren Programmiersprachen wie Python oder Rust sind von Vorteil)
Erfahrung mit Infrastructure-as-Code-Tools wie Terraform oder OpenTofu
Vertrautheit mit CI-Systemen, insbesondere GitLab CI
Gute Problemlösungs- und Troubleshootingfähigkeiten sowie Sprachkenntnisse in Englisch auf C2-Niveau und ggf. Deutsch auf B2-Niveau.
Erfahrung im Umgang mit Monitoring-Tools wie Prometheus und Grafana Stack sowie OS-Image-Building (z. B. VMs, Bare Metal oder Container-Images)

Du bist aktiv am täglichen Betrieb und der Wartung dieser Dienste beteiligt, gestaltest deren Weiterentwicklung mit und bringst eigene Ideen für neue SaaS-Produkte ein, während wir unser Portfolio kontinuierlich erweitern.

Du arbeitest täglich mit Kubernetes, CI/CD-Pipelines und Automatisierungstools und trägst so direkt zum Erfolg unserer Kunden bei. Dabei legen wir großen Wert auf Zusammenarbeit, offenen Austausch und Wissensweitergabe – sei es im täglichen Teamwork, bei unseren internen „Show & Tell“-Sessions oder auf externen Konferenzen. Your mission

As a (Senior) DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) at SysEleven, you ensure that our as-a-Service products – such as Database as a Service – run reliably and are operated in an automated way. You implement Infrastructure as Code and optimize CI/CD pipelines to guarantee scalable and secure infrastructures. Your work drives the innovation of our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings and fosters collaboration within the team. Through automation and Kubernetes orchestration, you reduce operational effort and deliver dependable services that support our customers’ success. You contribute to a culture of continuous learning and problem-solving to tackle complex challenges and shape the future of our services.

Your tasks

Design and maintenance of scalable infrastructures using IaC tools (Terraform) in cloud or on-premise environments
Creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment strategies (e.g., Blue-Green, Canary)
Development of automation scripts and internal tools in Go, Python, or Bash to optimize DevOps processes
Management of container-based applications with Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm charts and network configurations
Implementation of observability and automation of security vulnerability scans
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, as well as defining and implementing best practices for DevOps processes

Requirements

Experience with Linux operating systems and Kubernetes, as well as working with GitOps tools
Good knowledge of Go / Golang (experience in other programming languages like Python or Rust is a plus)
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu
Familiarity with CI systems, especially GitLab CI
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, as well as English language proficiency at C2 level and, ideally, German at B2 level.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana stack, as well as OS image building (e.g., VMs, bare metal, or container images)

You will be actively involved in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of these services, contribute to their ongoing development, and have the opportunity to bring your own ideas for new SaaS products as we continuously expand our portfolio.

You will work daily with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools, directly contributing to the success of our customers.
