Systems Engineer Sovereign Cloud (m/f/x)

You will take on a central role in planning, implementing, and supporting complex secure IT infrastructures. Through effective solutions and continuous optimization, you will ensure that the technical requirements in SINA Cloud Operations are met. This allows us to create a stable, secure, and scalable IT environment for our customers. You will act as the bridge between development and operations while ensuring the highly secure running of critical cloud infrastructures at all times.

• Operating, proactively monitoring, and maintaining the technical environment in highly secure operations to ensure maximum system availability

• Detecting, analyzing, and resolving system malfunctions as part of independent incident management and troubleshooting

• Continuously analyzing and optimizing system and operational processes with a focus on performance tuning and capacity planning

• Developing and maintaining automation scripts and tools to increase efficiency and streamline operational workflows

• Ensuring the continuous operation of critical infrastructures by participating in on call duties and occasional travel in exceptional cases

• Advanced professional experience in the administration of large IT infrastructures and cloud environments

• Solid expertise in the IBM Red Hat ecosystem (especially RHEL) combined with practical experience in Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes, and ideally initial exposure to NixOS

• Good knowledge of scripting and system engineering (Python, Bash, Go) as well as experience with automation tools (Ansible)

• Ideally you have experience with Git and GitOps workflows, as well as working with distributed storage systems (Ceph)

• A basic understanding of IT security standards and compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR), and ideally relevant Red Hat certifications (EX180, EX280, CKA, CKAD)

• Good command of German and English, a mandatory willingness to undergo an extended security clearance (Ü2 according to SÜG), and a permanent residence in Germany
